I’m thrilled to share that our very own Efi Merdler-Kravitz, Lumigo director of engineering, has been named a Serverless Hero by AWS. The AWS Serverless Hero program recognizes serverless developers “whose enthusiasm for knowledge-sharing has a real impact within the community”. With fewer than 30 Serverless Heroes worldwide, it’s especially exciting that Efi is joining our Developer Advocate Yan Cui (a.k.a. TheBurningMonk) as the second Lumigo team member to be given this honor.
In addition to leading Lumigo’s fully serverless R&D team, Efi’s enthusiasm for sharing his expertise has seen him contribute to open source projects, like the lumigo-cli, crisscross the world speaking at community events, and regularly pen articles on serverless topics. Efi has always maintained that one of the most satisfying aspects of his role is to work with his team – and our users – to adopt a serverless mindset, and to share the things they discover.
I know that Efi is proud and grateful to be counted among this select group of people who have done so much to encourage and facilitate the adoption of serverless technology, and all of us here at Lumigo are determined to continue to contribute to the community at full force.
In the past couple of years, Efi was instrumental in Lumigo attaining AWS Advanced Tech Partner and DevOps Competency status, and this latest recognition is a testament to the importance we place on our relationship with AWS, and the strong partnership we have forged.
On a personal note, Efi is utterly deserving of this recognition. He not only leads a team building a 100% serverless product from the ground up, but more importantly, he has always shared his knowledge generously, both formally in his writing and speaking engagements, and informally with anyone who will listen 🙂
Congrats, Efi!
Efi will share Lumigo’s approach to serverless CI/CD at ServerlessDays Hamburg on 27 March.
